R E T X E D

     It sounds funny though how the proprietor started his business. One night, he was at the bar together with his high school friends enjoying a glass of beer and a couple of songs. There was nothing new about it, just getting in touch with some old friends, throwing jokes around. You know how good friends are when they find some time together. But little did the he know that this was the start of his business venture. They talked about anything that pleased them while enjoying each other’s company. Until the conversation had paved way to discussing about computers. They were so engrossed in the topic for most of them took up computer courses. Then, eventually this had led the founder to suggest about opening up a computer shop, a shop where all customers and other computer technicians who have common passion in computers will have the chance to enjoy and share software and ideas in solving some of computer issues with free wifi for all.

       Thrilled with the idea, the group vigorously agreed about the plan and started to think whom to ask for a little donation to fund it. While thinking about it, excitement filled the air, suggestions were overflowing. It was indeed evident that the group was really into it. In fact, one of his friends offered to donate a monitor while the others conceded to collect money to cover other expenses while Luke, his friend said he would devote his time in it instead. All were set before they headed back home.

       The next day, very eager to carry out the plan at once, the founder enthusiastically went around his friends to ask about the contribution they promised to give. But guess what? The funny thing was, none of them heeded. It was like they had not talked and agreed about anything. It appeared to him that they had not taken the matter seriously and it was brought up that night just for the sake of having something to talk about or probably because they were all a bit drank. And this disappointed him.

     Because of his disappointment, he decided to start the business by himself, alone. He then gathered all his resources like personal computers and printer and started accepting computer services such as encoding, computer repair and computer programming at home. Customers began to hear about the services offered and more clients came each day. The owner then constantly saved and patiently waited until he reached an initial investment of 30k.

       Due to the growing demands of his customers, some time later, he opted to open a computer shop at the downtown of Carigara but the problem was the site. Luke, one of his friends who promised to offer his time the night they talked about opening a shop helped him and found one. Initially, the owner was quite hesitant about the place but his friend insisted and was there to support him. So despite his doubt, he used his capital and invested in the business at Carigara, Leyte, Philippines way back February 2011. With the vision of primarily serving the clients efficiently and ensuring customer satisfaction, the shop flourished and later expanded and became an internet cafè with 11 computers and one photocopy machine and he named it RETXED COMPUTER AND SERVICES. Retxed is the first name of the owner inversely written. After 2 years, he decided to build a gaming shop near the main shop with another 11 units and 1 photocopy machine. A year later, he added Tarpaulin Machine to better serve his clients and to make it a one stop shop.

      Now, it’s been more than 5 years and counting and he is still keeping his foremost goal of providing effective and efficient customer services because he values his clients as much as he values his business. He always assures them that they can get the best service worth their time and money since the proprietor believes that before you start counting your return of investment, invest TRUST and COMMITMENT first to your clienteles.
